SCRIPTURE:
And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you become fishers of men. And straightway they forsook their nets and followed him. Mark 1:17-18
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
God does not call us to minimize us but to maximize us.
One of the greatest privileges on earth is the privilege of being called by God and serving Him as a
servant-soldier (2 Tim 2:3, 1 Cor 4:12).
Being present serving in God’s army is an implication for honor, in the book of Hebrews 5:4, it says,
The calling of God is for the maximization of man. God does not call us to minimize us; He calls us to make us. He does not call us to shrink us, he calls us to stretch us.
Look at what Exodus 23:35 says,
The calling of God is an essential ingredient to destiny delivery. The apostles Paul said,
He has finished his race because he has begun the race with full confidence of who has appointed him, by Grace;
This discovery for Paul was the dawning of dignity, the hefting of honor, and the restoration of respect. Paul, being a spiritual terrorist of death, was translated into a man of God and a carrier of life and light, with dignity honor and respect.
A man called of God is a man called unto honor, not humiliation. He is not permitted to experience misery, reproach or shame because the honor of the calling engulfs it all up.
All those called of God to ministry or business must remember, it is not possible to work for God and stay at the level that they were before they gave God their yes.
Today, I agree with you, whatever is holding you hostage to the dignity, honor, and respect of the calling of God for your life, is dismantled by the mantle of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ Name.
REMEMBER THIS:
