Jesus made -132 public appearances in the New Testament, 122 were in the workplace. Of the 52 parables Jesus told, 45 had a workplace context.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. Colossians 3:23
Jesus spent ten to fifteen years in a workplace job, and only three years in public ministry (which was marketplace focused), what does that say about the importance of work? God uses work to accomplish many things in the lives of His followers.
Begin to see the marketplace as the mission field God has assigned you to.
A Harvard Business Review analyst, recently said that “spirituality is exploding in the workplace.” Why? God loves the marketplace, and it belongs to Him!
The last several years have witnessed increasing numbers of men and women who are applying biblical principles to their careers, Christians who are not afraid to share their faith with coworkers, and prayer and Bible studies taking place on the premises of large corporations.
